MERIJR (pronounced as “Meri J R”) Enterprises Inc. was started in the year 2005 by the husband-and-wife team of James and Esther Araña. The company started as a third-party repair company, offering repairs of both flexible and rigid endoscopes to targeted hospitals and outpatient clinics. After a year of providing cost-effective repair services, in 2006, the company made an exclusive alliance with FUJIFILM Asia Pacific in distributing their endoscopy line in the Philippines for the first time in about 5 years. Eventually, the company included endoscopy accessories and distributed single-use products.
